Mike McCoy & Ron Saunders – March 27, 2010

Mike McCoy

Mike McCoy started in the printing industry over 20 years ago, starting with taking Printing Management College classes.

Since 1994 Mike has worked with Jostens Printing.  Initially in the State College, PA plant as part of a new-product line startup team and then starting in sales in 1997.

In 2000 Mike and his wife Kay established M&K Publishing as a Home-Based Business.  The initial focus was working with publishers and companies as a manufacturer’s rep primarily for Jostens but also for a few select printing plants that specialized in areas helpful to small publishers.

The introduction of digital printing into the publishing world opened up great opportunities for Mike to help first time authors, self-publish and get their book into print.  Now anyone with a book idea and a strong motivation can not only get their books printed faster, but also the professional appearance opens doors to many opportunities for sales & marketing.

Mike sees the future of printing, specifically book publishing continue to incorporate digital printing into the world of standard offset printing. This makes it possible for quick-turn book production for just-in-time delivery as well as typical longer runs and distribution from book manufacturing plants.

No, the “E-book” will not eclipse the printed book; but just the opposite, E-books, also called Print-On-Demand digital will facilitate sales and help motivated authors find targeted markets for sales growth.  If you have a book idea, then listen in and take notes!

“Basketball Bill” Chaffin & Ron Saunders – March 13, 2010

“Basketball Bill” Chaffin

“Basketball Bill” Chaffin was a successful marketing and sales executive for 25 years, primarily in the insurance and real estate industries. His career path took a new direction in 1978. He took over a troubled motion picture project with the release title Squezze Play, starring four Dallas Cowboy football players—Ed “Too Tall” Jones, Drew Pearson, Jay Saldi, and Thomas “Hollywood” Henderson. As the Executive Producer, Bill made a big mistake that led to his darkest hour.

After this, he worked for the Zig Ziglar Corporation for 28 months.

In 1986 Bill formed Turn-Key Communications, currently known as Bill Chaffin Enterprises, Inc., and serves as President.

Bill is the only motivational speaker in America who does basketball shootouts with middle schools, high schools, colleges and professional basketball players. This novel approach with teenagers and young people gains instant respect before he shares an urgent message entitled, “What Goes Around Comes Around”.

September 12th, 1989, Bill broke into the Guinness Book of World Records shooting a basketball on cable television in Schererville, Indiana. He made 190 out of 208 free throw attempts in ten minutes, using one ball and one rebounder.

A good bottom line, showing a net profit in business and swishing the net in basketball will attract the attention of many. But the most exhiiarating feeling is to hit nothing but net in everyday life. When you make those clearly defined choices, it will have a dramatic impact on winning in those “must win” situations.

Bill’s “high touch” message will challenge you to go beyond success and become significant both personally and professionally.
